Supporting Egypt’s next chapter in mining, industry, and precious metals.
As Egypt advances its mineral development ambitions, the infrastructure required to transform resources into internationally accepted products is already taking shape. SAM Precious Metals established Egypt’s first and only internationally accredited precious metals refinery, creating a foundation for responsible processing, accredited production, and stronger connections between mining operations and global markets.

In 2022, SAM Egypt achieved Responsible Jewellery Council Code of Practices and Chain of Custody certifications, establishing it as the first and only internationally accredited precious metals refinery operating in Egypt.
The next phase will expand the Egypt facility to more than ten times its current scale, significantly increasing production capacity while also introducing new specialized facilities designed to broaden operational capabilities. This expansion will not only enhance existing refining and production processes, but also incorporate additional infrastructure to support advanced processing, analytical services, and value-added manufacturing. Together, these developments will strengthen SAM’s contribution to Egypt’s industrial growth, export potential, and overall precious-metals ecosystem.
